The stars of Fox's hit series Glee are hitting the road for live shows, the network announced Monday.
Is the Glee gang coming to a town near you?
Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer and more of the cast of the Golden Globe-winning comedy will perform in the four-city tour titled "Glee Live! In Concert!" beginning May 18 in Phoenix.
The show, described as a singing and dancing celebration of the series, will also perform two dates each in Los Angeles (May 20-21), Chicago (May 25- 26) and New York (May 28-29).
"The response of the fans to our little show has been so immediate and so gratifying, we wanted to get out and thank them live and in person," said co-creator Ryan Murphy, who teased the possibility of a concert in October. "And what show lends itself more to a concert than Glee?"
Glee cast to perform at World Series
The Glee cast performed the national anthem at Game 3 of the 2009 World Series, and the stars were recently invited by first lady Michelle Obama to perform at the White House Easter egg hunt, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Tickets go on sale Friday for American Express cardholders. Other concertgoers can purchase their tickets beginning May 12 for the Phoenix show and May 13 for the remaining cities. For more information: http://www.gleetour2010.com/.
