Turns out the Big Love star was born actually born "Jennifer Michelle Goodwin." She now wants to make her professional name, "Ginnifer," the real deal, TMZ reports.

Goodwin filed the documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday. If the petition is granted, she'll be Ginnifer Michelle Goodwin by mid-May. (Could another name change be in her future? Goodwin is currently engaged to actor Joey Kern, so after they marry she could keep her professional name or take his on.)
