Gilmore Girls Creator Returning to the CW for New Pilot

Amy Sherman-Palladino

Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is returning to the CW with a new pilot, The Wrap reports.

The untitled project is an hourlong family drama set on a horse farm in the Midwest or Rockies. The pilot reunites the CW with Sherman-Palladino and her husband/longtime collaborator Dan Palladino, who led the WB/CW series Gilmore Girls to popular and critical acclaim for six of the shows' seven seasons.

Sherman-Palladino most recently created and executive-produced the Fox comedy The Return of Jezebel James. The show premiered in March 2008 and was canceled three weeks later.

The CW has also ordered an hourlong reboot of La Femme Nikita (based on the 1990 French film, which spawned a 1993 U.S. theatrical remake and a 1997 USA Network series), according to the site. Nikita will follow the film, when Nikita has gone rogue.
