The funeral for former Bachelor contestant Gia Allemand will be held Thursday in New York City, her family said in a statement Monday.
Allemand died last Wednesday when she was taken off life support following asuicide attempt two days prior. Her funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Trinity Grace Church in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. ET and 7 to 9 p.m. ET at the Papavero Funeral Home. Both will be open to the public.

"After much consideration by family members to privacy and capacity issues, both days will be open with the intention to welcome family and friends from near and far," the Allemand family said in a statement. "Absolutely no cameras or cell phones will be permitted inside. All arrangements have been made by family in an effort to honor Gia the best way they know how."
Allemand appeared on Season 14 of The Bachelor and later on Bachelor Pad.
