George Clooney and Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis have announced that they are parting ways.
"We are not together anymore. It's very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy," read their joint statement announcing the end of their almost two-year relationship.

People.com reports that the pair was last spotted together in May. UsWeekly reported that Canalis told the Italian magazine Chi in its June issue: "I am very happy at the moment - thanks to my man and my fairy tale is continuing. We are a couple that never gets bored."
