George Clooney Arrested During Protest

George Clooney and his father were among 15 protestors arrested Friday morning outside of the Sudan embassy in Washington, D.C.
"They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children," Clooney's publicist told TMZ. "They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world."

According to The Washington Post, Clooney and his fellow protestors, which included congressman and other religious and human rights leaders, were given three verbal warnings. Eventually, they were taken away in handcuffs.
"It's actually a humiliating thing to be arrested no matter what you do, but I'm glad to be standing here with my father," Clooney said, according to a tweet by Today show anchor Ann Curry.
After a few hours behind bars, Clooney posted the $100-dollar bail.
