Gene Hackman has been released from a Florida hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike on Friday, TMZ.com reports.

The 81-year-old Oscar winner was airlifted to a hospital after being hit by the car in the Florida Keys. He "suffered bumps and bruises after a woman bumped him from behind in her vehicle," a rep for the actor told the site. The rep added that Hackman is doing "fine."
The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
