Gary Dourdan Blames CSI for His Bankruptcy

Gary Dourdan

Why did Gary Dourdan file for bankruptcy? It's CSI's fault — at least that's what legal documents in his Chapter 11 case insinuate, TMZ.com reports.

Dourdan initially filed for bankruptcy back in August, stating that he has approximately $1.8 million in assets, but owes a whopping $1.73 million.

In new documents filed this week, Dourdan says he went broke after being killed off the CBS series because of "diminished payments of residuals" from CSI, which caused him to default on his two mortgages.

Dourdan has been involved in multiple legal incidents in recent years. In 2012, an ex-girlfriend sued the actor, accusing him of assault and battery for breaking her nose. Dourdan was also found sleeping in his car in 2008 by the police, which led to his arrest on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, Ecstasy and prescription drugs.
