Michael Gambon is joining the cast of HBO's new drama Luck, reports Deadline.
The series, which stars Dustin Hoffman, is set in the provocative world of horse-racing — the owners, gamblers, jockeys and industry players. The Harry Potter star's yet-to-be-named character will serve as the adversary of Hoffman's Ace Bernstein.
Patrick J. Adams (Old School) has also been cast in the recurring role of Nathan Israel, who works closely with Bernstein. Oscar nominee Joan Allen will play a woman who runs a program for prison inmates to care of broken-down racehorses.
