The drama pilot, which has a series commitment at Fox, explores the origin stories of Detective James Gordon and his battle with the villains who made the city famous before he becomes Gotham's commissioner and Batman's ally. This earlier focus in the Batman mythology means that Mazous will only play Bruce Wayne and not the eventual Caped Crusader. Bruce Wayne has been previously portrayed by the likes of Christian Bale, Adam West, Michael Keaton,Val Kilmer and George Clooney.
Additionally, newcomer Camren Bicondova has been cast as Selina Kyle, a teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A street thief and skilled pickpocket, the future Catwoman is dangerous when cornered. Selina Kyle has previously been portrayed by Anne Hathaway, Gina Gershon andMichelle Pfeiffer.
