Fox Will Not Air Family Guy Abortion Episode

Family Guy

Fox will not air an abortion-themed episode of Family Guy, according to a statement from the network.

"Fox will not air the 'Partial Terms of Endearment' episode of Family Guy, but we fully support the producers' right to make the episode and distribute it in whatever way they want," the statement reads.

Series creator Seth McFarlane teased the episode in question during a Family Guy panel Saturday at Comic-Con in San Diego.

"20th Century Fox, as always, allowed us to produce the episode and then said, 'You know what? We're scared to f--king death of this,'" he said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. He later clarified his remarks in an email to the Reporter to say that he supported Fox's decision. "We were allowed to take a crack at this controversial story and that's enough for me," he said. He also indicated that "Partial Terms" would likely be included on the season's DVD.

During the same panel, McFarlane previewed the hotly anticipated Empire Strikes Back parody episode, a sequel to the show's wildly popular Star Wars spoof.
