Angelina Jolie has dethroned Oprah Winfrey as the most powerful celebrity in the world on Forbes Magazine's annual list.
In the past 12 months, Jolie earned $27 million, with movies including Wanted, Kung Fu Panda and the upcoming thriller Salt. The magazine also considered the media attention she received after giving birth to twins last summer, her philanthropic work and her relationship with Brad Pitt (who ranks No. 9 on the list).
But don't break out the tissues for Winfrey just yet. Earning $275 million annually for the past two years, the mogul is still the top earner, with a TV show, monthly magazine, XM satellite Radio deal and TV network partnership among her professional pursuits.
Joining the leading ladies on Forbes' list are Madonna (No. 3), Beyoncé (No. 4), and Tiger Woods (No. 5). The next tier includes Jennifer Aniston (No. 8), Britney Spears (No. 13) and Tom Cruise (No. 20). Nabbing spots at the tail-end are Mariska Hargitay (No. 98), Jennifer Love Hewitt (No. 99) and Danica Patrick (No. 100).
President Barack Obama was also named (No. 49). He's the first sitting head of state to appear in the rankings.
