Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been released from a Las Vegas jail following his arrest on a misdemeanor warrant, The Associated Press reports.

Mayweather was arrested late Thursday at a Las Vegas-area casino on a battery charge alleging that the boxer poked a security guard in the face last month during an argument over parking tickets. He was released 12 hours later without bail from the Clark County jail, officer Jacinto Rivera told the AP.

Mayweather's attorney, Richard Wright, said the boxer is due in court Tuesday. If convicted, Mayweather, who competed on Season 5 of Dancing with the Stars, faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

The fighter had been free on bail on unrelated felony charges stemming from a September dispute with his children and their mother.
