Felicia Day to Headline Syfy's Red
Felicia Day
Felicia Day, best known for Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, will star in Red, Syfy's reimagining of the Little Red Riding Hood story.
Day will play a werewolf-hunting descendent of Little Red Riding Hood, following in the footsteps of Zooey Deschanel, who played "DG" in Tin Man, the network's Wizard of Oz retelling, and Caterina Scorsone, Alice's very modern title heroine who travels to Wonderland.
Felicia Day's Guild nabs six Streamy nominations
The movie also stars Kavan Smith (Stargate Atlantis) and Stephen McHattie (Watchmen) and will premiere in 2011. Syfy is also working on updates of Aladdin, Sinbad the Sailor and Hansel & Gretel.
