Rapper Fat Joe pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion Thursday in New Jersey, The Associated Press reports.

Fat Joe, whose real name is Joseph Cartagena, was charged with failing to pay taxes on more than $1 million of income in both 2007 and 2008. He remains free, and will be sentenced in April. He faces up to two years in prison.
Best known for his hit singles "What's Luv?" and "Lean Back," Fat Joe released his most recent album, The Darkside Vol. 1, in 2010.
