Farrah Fawcett Released from Hospital, "In Great Spirits"

Farrah Fawcett has been released from the hospital, following treatment for internal bleeding.

"She's walking and in great spirits and looking forward to celebrating Easter at home," her physician, Lawrence Piro, told People.

The actress, who has been battling anal cancer, was hospitalized April 2 for a hematoma from abdominal bleeding. According to Piro, she suffered the hematoma after undergoing treatments in Germany to address the cancer's spread to her liver.

The former Charlie's Angels star returned home Thursday afternoon, accompanied by partner Ryan O'Neal. "The pain from the hematoma has improved tremendously," Piro said.

Fawcett was diagnosed with cancer in 2006. She was said to be cancer-free in February 2007, but relapsed months later, which led her to seek alternative treatment in Germany.

Earlier this week, producer Craig Nevius sent a message to fans on her behalf: "Farrah has hope, and she hopes that others will continue to hold onto theirs."
