Sources: ABC Has Renewed Castle, Scrubs, Two Others

Scrubs' Zach Braff, Castle's Nathan Fillion

ABC has been A Busy Company. The network on Friday renewed four more series, including Scrubs and the freshman series Castle and Better Off Ted, sources tell TVGuide.com. Also due back for the 2009-10 season is the Ashton Kutcher-produced reality show True Beauty.

ABC, however, is not officially confirming any new pick-ups until its May 19 upfront presentation.

For Scrubs' somewhat surprising (and latest) resurrection, Zach Braff will return for at least a handful of episodes. Although one trade mag reported that Sarah Chalke was signed for the new season, her deal is actually not done.

"The [renewal] gets decided on first," Chalke told TVGuide.com on Friday afternoon, "and then we will see how it plays out for everybody, depending on what's going on in their lives and what they're doing."

Chalke can next be seen playing a Maneater in a Lifetime miniseries airing May 30-31.

In April, ABC announced the renewal of a dozen shows, including no-brainers such as Grey's Anatomy and Lost.
