It doesn't matter where, when or how: You will watch TV any way you can get it!
With the prevalence of new devices and services, viewers are watching more TV than ever before, according to TVGuide.com's Fall 2011 TV Survey. In total, 32 percent of users surveyed (14 percent more than last year) say they watch more than 30 hours of TV a week. Most surprising, 93 percent say they're watching more live TV — up from last year's 90 percent.
Of course, you can't watch live TV all the time. That's where DVR and on demand come in: 71 percent watch more time-shifted TV using these methods than they did in 2010.
The Internet is also coming to the rescue for TV fans. With more streaming options, 55 percent tune in to their favorite shows online and 62 percent watch more online content than they did a year ago. In fact, 15 percent say they watch six hours of online video a week, while only a mere 4 percent did so last year.
The complete results of the survey (also embedded below), which surveyed 5,897 respondents in October 2011, were presented by TVGuide.com at Thursday's paidContent Entertainment Hollywood Think Tank: The People, The Platforms, The Content, The Opportunities That Matter conference in Los Angeles.
