The Expendables 2 Knocks The Bourne Legacy From Top Spot at the Box Office

The Expendables 2 was the victor at this weekend's box office, raking in $28.8 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

Last week's winner The Bourne Legacy came in No. 2 with $17 million. Animated film ParaNorman was right behind with $14 million in its opening weekend.

Bourne Legacy ousts Dark Knight Rises from top spot at the box office

The Campaign, starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, fell to No. 4, earning $13.9 million.

Sparkle, the last film Whitney Houston appeared in before her death, debuted in the fifth spot with an even $12 million.

Rounding out the top 10: The Dark Knight Rises (No. 6, $11.1 million); The Odd Life of Timothy Green (No. 7, $10.9 million); Hope Springs (No. 8, $9.1 million); Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (No. 9, $3.9 million) and Total Recall (No. 10, $3.5 million).
