Eric Roberts is joining the cast of The Young and the Restless, a series rep says.
The 54-year-old actor will make his first appearance on the CBS soap July 12, playing the attorney of Adam (Michael Muhney).

Roberts is just the latest in a run of film and prime-time TV stars heading to daytime. David Hasselhoff recently resumed his role on The Young and the Restless for several episodes, and James Franco will return June 30 for a second arc on ABC's General Hospital.
Roberts most recently starred on the Starz drama Crash and will next appear in the film The Expendables, coming out in August.
