Dame Elizabeth Taylor
Elizabeth Taylor says the upcoming Michael Jackson film This Is It is "the single most brilliant piece of filmmaking" she has ever seen.
In a series of 19 tweets, the two-time Oscar winner, who saw the movie last week, lavished unbridled praise on the documentary, director Kenny Ortega and her late friend.
LaToya and Katherine Jackson: We won't watch Jackson film
"[The film] cements forever Michael's genius in every aspect of creativity," she wrote. "To say the man is a genius is an understatement. He cradles each note, coaxes the music to depths beyond reality. ... I truly believe this film should be nominated in every category conceivable."
The film consists of rehearsal footage of Jackson's comeback concerts. Ortega, who served as the tour director, "did a masterful job of directing the process that goes into making a complete show before hitting the stage," the 77-year-old Taylor tweeted.

"You owe it to yourselves and your loved ones to see this again and again," she continued. "Memorize it and say to yourselves, 'I saw genius in my lifetime.'"
This Is It opens Wednesday.
