The actress, who plays Avery Jessup on 30 Rock, won't star in the series but plans to serve as co-executive producer with her husband. Eric Siegel and Eric D. Wasserman (The Hard Times of R.J. Berger, Roommates) have signed on to write and executive-produce the project as well.
Banks and Handelman aren't the only Hollywood couple to head behind the scenes— Courteney Cox and David Arquette have sold the comedy Ten Years to NBC.
