After logging seven seasons on Mad Men, Elisabeth Moss knows how to keep a secret. So when the actress was asked about her rumored role on the equally secretive True Detective, she was able to downplay the speculation well.
"I know nothing," she told USA Today. "I know literally as much as you know."

When pressed further about whether she has been approached to join the acclaimed HBO, Moss said she was flattered by the speculation. "Not in the way everyone is talking about, honestly. I had to ask my own people, 'Have you not told me something?'" she said. "For me as an actor who's been in this business for over 25 years, it's so flattering to be associated with that show. (And) for anyone to think that I could be a part of that show."
Reports first surfaced Monday that Moss, as well as Vince Vaughn and The Killing vet Michelle Forbes, were circling the new season of the series, which is nominated for five Emmys. Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch are also up for two roles.
Moss can currently be seen on the big screen in The One I Love.
