Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who's suspected of perpetrating the Boston Marathon bombings, has been transferred to a federal detention center hospital, CNN reports.
"Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been transported from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is now confined at the Bureau of Prisons facility FMC Devens at Ft. Devens, Mass.," Drew Wade, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshalls, said.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev claims brother masterminded the Boston Marathon bombings
The 19-year-old's older brother and alleged co-conspirator Tamerlan was killed in a shootout with police last week. Dzhokhar, who was captured last Friday after an extensive manhunt and suffered neck and leg wounds, was charged Monday with using a weapon of mass destruction at the April 15 bombings, which killed three people and injured more than 200.
After the Boston bombings, the brothers decided to plot a second attack on New York City, Dzhokhar told investigators, according to New York officials. While New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said that there is no evidence of the city being a target of a terrorist attack stemming from the Boston tragedy, he did say that officials are investigating two visits Dzhokhar made to New York, one of which took place last fall.
