Exclusive: Discovery to Bring Mythbusters, Penn & Teller, Dinos to Comic-Con

Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage

Mark your calendars, Comic-Con attendees! Discovery Channel has announced it will bring two new shows and a returning favorite to Comic-Con International in San Diego this July.

Magician/comedian Penn Jillette and his partner, Teller, will host a panel for their new series Penn & Teller Tell a Lie, airing this fall on Discovery. On Thursday, July 21 from 7-8pm, audiences will get a first-hand account of this new Penn & Teller series in which the duo answer the world's biggest questions such as "Can you lift a 5,000 pound car with human hair?" and "Does cursing help with pain management?" However, at the end of each episode, one outrageous question will be revealed as a lie.

Discovery will also introduce Reign of the Dinosaurs (working title), a behind the scenes look at the industry's foremost dinosaur illustrators and animators premiering this fall. The panel, taking place on Friday, July 22, from 8-9pm, will feature producer Erik Nelson, Ricardo Delgado (Dark Horse Comics' Age of Reptiles), David Krentz (Disney's Dinosaur) and more discussing the creative aspects of dinosaur storytelling, as well as presenting a first look at revolutionary dino animation.

And finally, the crew from Mythbusters will be back in San Diego for another popular panel on Saturday, July 23, from 7:45-8:45pm! Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara will take questions from fans about upcoming busted myths airing this fall.
