Dirty Dancing fans will have to wait nearly two years for the remake to hit theatres.
The updated version of the 1987 cult classic, being produced by Lionsgate, is scheduled for release on July 26, 2013, Deadline reports.

In August, the film's original choreographer, Kenny Ortega, announced his plans to direct a remake of the unconventional love story starring Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze. Maria Maggenti (Monte Carlo) is writing the script with Ortega and Debra Martin Chase producing.
