Dexter Recruits L Word Star Katherine Moennig for Season 5

Katherine Moennig, who memorably portrayed frisky hairdresser Shane on The L Word, will guest-star in the upcoming season of Dexter, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Moennig will play a tattoo artist in the one-episode appearance. How she'll become embroiled in the serial killer's world remains unknown.
Peter Weller joins the cast of Dexter
The 32-year-old actress — and cousin of Gwyneth Paltrow — last starred in the short-lived CBS medical drama Three Rivers.
Johnny Lee Miller, April Lee Hernandez, Shawn Hatosy and Julia Stiles will also guest star in Dexter's fifth season. Peter Weller will co-star in eight episodes. Comic-Con audiences will get an exclusive sneak peak at the new season during the series' Thursday afternoon panel.
For its most recent season, Dexter received seven Emmy nominations — among them, for outstanding drama, lead actor Michael C. Hall and guest actor John Lithgow.
