Desperate Housewives Casts V Hunk to Romance Renee

V's Charles Mesure is going from battling alien lizards to tackling desperate housewives.
The 40-year-old actor has joined the cast of Desperate Housewives as Ben, a contractor who moves to Wisteria Lane in Season 8, TVLine.com reports.

As we first reported, Renee (Vanessa Williams) will set her sights on Ben — no, not to pursue a relationship; she thinks he's a child molester! Amazingly, her accusation doesn't deter him. He's as ruthless as he is charming, which, as long as she isn't right about him, will make him a fine match for Renee.
Desperate Housewives returns Sunday, Sept. 25 on ABC.
