Desperate Housewives' Brenda Strong has filed for a divorce, her rep confirmed to TVGuide.com.

"It is with great difficulty that we have decided to file for dissolution of our marriage. We are grateful for the years we've shared and our beautiful son," Strong said in a statement. "We hope that the media will respect our privacy during this transition."
Strong, who stars as the series' narrator Mary Alice Young, filed a divorce petition from husband Tom Henri in a L.A. County Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences, reports TMZ.
Strong and Henri, a yoga instructor, have been married since 1989 and have a teenage son together.
