Pilot Season: Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis to Star in CBS' Cowboy Drama

Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis are saddling up for CBS' untitled cowboy drama.
Making his TV series debut, Quaid will play Ralph Lamb, a real rodeo cowboy-turned-sheriff, in 1960s in Las Vegas. Chiklis will play Johnny Savino, a Chicago mob fixer whose plans for Vegas clash with Lamb's.

Nicholas Pileggi and Without a Trace's Greg Walker will write and executive-produce, alongside Men in Trees duo James Mangold and Cathy Konrad.
Quaid, who most recently starred in Footloose, earned Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for his work in the 2010 HBO movie The Special Relationship.
Chiklis, who won an Emmy 10 years ago for The Shield, starred on No Ordinary Family last season.
