Dennis Quaid's Wife Files for Divorce

Kimberly Quaid, wife of actor Dennis Quaid, has filed for divorce after nearly eight years of marriage, TMZ reports.
According to the documents filed by Kimberly, "The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities... that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation." Although the date is unconfirmed, E! Online reports that the documents were filed on March 2.

TMZ also reports there is a temporary custody order in place for the 4-year-old twins, though the petition states that neither parent can take the children out of state unless authorized. Kimberly is also asking for their community assets to be fairly divided.
"We can confirm that Kimberly Quaid has filed for divorce," a rep for the actor told the site. "Contrary to what has been reported, a satisfactory settlement is being worked out for both parties."
The couple married in 2004. This is the third marriage for Quaid, who was previously wed to Meg Ryan and P.J. Soles.
