Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato has quit her international tour to check into a treatment center, her rep said in a statement.

"Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time," the statement read.

Lovato's rep did not specify the nature of the singer's issues. But a source close to her family told TVGuide.com that the singer has struggled with bullying, an eating disorder and cutting in the past.

"Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that,"  the statement continued. "[Demi] regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."

The 18-year-old Disney star was on tour with the Jonas brothers, whom she starred opposite in the Camp Rock films. Among her other Disney work: Sonny with a Chance and Princess Protection Program. Lovato also appeared on an episode of Grey's Anatomy as a seemingly schizophrenic patient trying to claw her own eyes out.
