Debbie Matenopoulos "Extremely Saddened" by Divorce

E!'s Daily 10 host Debbie Matenopoulos is not only "saddened" by the end of her marriage, but surprised by it too, as she learned of her husband's divorce filing the way nearly everyone else did — reading reports on the world wide web.
"I am extremely saddened by the dissolution of my seven-year relationship with my husband. I am not a proponent of divorce and I believe in working things out," the former View co-host told People. "So you can only imagine my extreme sadness and disillusionment when I was informed of my husband's divorce proceedings, much like you were, by reading them online."
Citing irreconcilable differences, Jay Faires, a music executive, filed papers in Los Angeles last Wednesday. In them, Faires noted the couple had been separated since March and requested Matenopoulos not be awarded spousal support.
Matenopoulos and Faires married in July 2003. They have no children.
