HLN Picks Up 39th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards

The revolution 39th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be televised.
News channel HLN has agreed to air the ceremony, which will take place Saturday, June 23 at 8/7c broadcast from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
General Hospital leads Daytime Emmy nominations
"Every day, we focus on the news and information people talk about, and that has included extensive coverage of the Daytime Emmys in the past," HLN Executive Vice President and General Manager Scot Safon said in a statement. "This year, we're very excited to also be carrying the event itself."
General Hospital leads this year's nominees with 23 nominations. The daytime medical series will face off against The Young and the Restless, All My Children and Days of Our Lives for outstanding drama series. The Bold and the Beautiful received that honor last year.
The ceremony will also honor All My Children, as well as other daytime series that have left the air in the past year.
