General Hospital nabbed a leading 18 Daytime Emmy Award nominations Wednesday as it goes for its 11th outstanding drama series trophy.

The ABC soap, which has won outstanding drama series more times than any other show, will vie for the top honor against All My Children, defending champion The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. General Hospital last won the award in 2008.

Notably snubbed was the departing As the World Turns, but the long-running CBS drama fielded two stars (Jon Lindstrom and Michael Park) in the lead actor category. They will compete against The Young and the Restless' Peter Bergman and Doug Davidson, and Days of Our Lives' James Scott.

The lead actress race features Sarah Brown (General Hospital), Crystal Chappell (Guiding Light), Bobbie Eakes (All My Children), Michelle Stafford (The Young and the Restless) and Maura West (As the World Turns).

On the talk show front, four-time champ The Ellen DeGeneres Show will face off against Live with Regis and Kelly and reigning champion Rachael Ray for the talk-show/entertainment title.

The talk show/informative field features all doctors: Dr. Phil, The Doctors and The Dr. Oz Show.
