David Cross to Bother Claire Next Season on Modern Family

David Cross has signed on to guest-star on Modern Family.
The Arrested Development actor will play a city councilman, Duane, who crosses paths with Claire (Julie Bowen), The Hollywood Reporter reports. Cross most recently played would-be uber-activist Dr. Andy Weeks on Fox's short-lived comedy Running Wilde.

The third season of Modern Family premieres Wednesday, Sept. 21 on ABC.
