David Cross "Not Ashamed" of Doing Cocaine Near President Obama

Barack Obama probably isn't laughing at comedian David Cross' confession of misconduct at the White House.

In an interview with Playboy, Cross admits he snorted cocaine 65 feet away from the President at 2009's White House Correspondents' Dinner, EW reports.

"It was just about being able to say that I did it, that I did cocaine in the same room as the president. I'm not proud of it, nor am I ashamed of it," he tells the magazine. "It was a tiny granule of coke that I put on my wrist and said, 'Watch this. I need a witness.' And then I ducked under the table and did it. It wasn't like I got high."

And although he feels the prank was harmless, his fiancee Amber Tamblyn got caught in the backlash. "She had nothing to do with it," he says. "And because of that she'll never be invited to the White House again. That's not cool."

Cross currently stars in IFC's The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. He also has a recurring guest role on Modern Family.
