David Boreanaz: My Affair Brought Me Closer to My Wife

Jaime Bergman and David Boreanaz

David Boreanaz says his affair brought him closer to his wife.

The Bones star admitted last year that he cheated on his wife, former Playboy playmate Jaime Bergman, which he now tells TV Week ended up being "a bonding experience, in the long run."

David Boreanaz admits to cheating on wife: "I was irresponsible"

"In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive," he says. "There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you."

Boreanaz revealed the infidelity after he said the woman, whom he did not name, tried to extort him. Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel later said she was the other woman.

David Boreanaz's wife "still mad" over his admitted infidelities

Boreanaz says he and Bergman continue to work on their 10-year marriage. The couple has two children, Jaden, 9, and Bella, 2.

"Do I believe in giving up?" he says. "No, I don't. I'm a fighter. I'm a lover."
