When TMZ asked DeVito how he was adjusting to single life, the actor replied: "It's not something you adjust to. Rhea and I are really close and actually still together. Just separate, but together."
Does that mean there's any hope for an official reconciliation? "We're working on it," DeVito added with a smile.
DeVito and Perlman have been married 30 years. The couple have three children together, Lucy, 29; Grace, 27 and Jacob, 24.
