Exclusive: Craig Bierko Joins USA Network's Necessary Roughness

Craig Bierko has been cast in the USA Network pilot Necessary Roughness, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
The project stars Callie Thorne as a psychologist who becomes the therapist for a professional football team. Bierko, 46, will play her estranged husband, Ray.
USA expands with three more drama pilots
The actor joins Mehcad Brooks, Marc Blucas, Scott Cohen, Concetta Tomei and Amanda Detmer. The pilot will start filming next week in Atlanta.
Bierko is best known for his work on Boston Legal and the films The Long Kiss Goodnight and Cinderella Man. He most recently recurred on Damages as Terry Brooke, an actor trying to adapt the memoir of Arthur Frobisher (Ted Danson) for the big screen.
