Covert Affairs Exclusive: Meet Annie's New Assignment — a KGB Spy!

Richard Coyle

Is Annie about to get tangled with the KGB on Covert Affairs?

She will certainly have her hands full in Season 3 in the form of Simon Fischer, who will be played by Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time's Richard Coyle, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Covert Affairs Exclusive: Hung's Rebecca Creskoff to play Annie's new mentor

Coyle will make his debut in the season premiere as Simon, a Cambridge-educated and refined globe-trotting venture capitalist who just so happens to be a suspected KGB spy. Annie (Piper Perabo) is assigned to him, but soon finds herself more involved than she ever intended. Coyle will recur throughout the season, though an exact number of episodes hasn't been determined yet. He joins fellow guest star Rebecca Creskoff (Hung) as key new figures in Annie's life; Creskoff will play her new mentor.

Besides Prince of Persia, in which he played Jake Gyllenhaal's older brother, the English actor has appeared in a number of British shows and most recently co-starred in Madonna's feature directorial debut W.E.

Season 3 of Covert Affairs will premiere this summer on USA.
