Courtney B. Vance to Guest-Star on The Closer

Brenda Leigh Johnson is going to need a little help in The Closer summer finale, and Courtney B. Vance is the man for the job.
The former Law & Order: Criminal Intent and FlashForward star will guest-star in Monday's episode. He may also return later in the season, TVGuide.com has learned.

Vance will play Deputy Chief Tommy Delk, the head of the LAPD's counter-terrorism division. He's brought in to help with a joint investigation between the FBI and the LAPD. As Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick) fights to stay a step ahead, Delk proves that he is just as clever as she is in manipulating the system.
The 50-year-old Vance — who appeared on ER alongside wife Angela Bassett — has also appeared in such films as The Hunt for Red October, Space Cowboys and The Preacher's Wife
The Closer's finale airs Monday at 9/8c on TNT.
