Comic-Con: Scoop From TV Guide Magazine's Fan Favorites Panel

Flanked by some of TV's hottest talent, TV Guide Magazine Editor-in-Chief Debra Birnbaum was the envy of Comic-Con fans when she moderated a panel devoted to our Fan Favorites on Thursday, July 21.
On the dais were The Vampire Diaries executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec; Lost alums Nestor Carbonell (there for his role on the CW new fall drama Ringer) and Jorge Garcia (plugging Fox's Alcatraz); Chuck's Zachary Levi; Doctor Who's Matt Smith; The Big Bang Theory's Emmy-nominated Johnny Galecki; True Blood scene stealers Kristin Bauer and Nelsan Ellis; and Leslie Hope of ABC's upcoming creepfest The River. The screams in the room were just as huge as the star power, with Con newbie Smith emerging as the clear crowd fave. "It's a good pressure," the Brit confessed of taking on the legendary Doctor's mantle. "It was bizarre really, because no one knew who I was!"
