VIDEO: Chuck Stars Geek Out Over Star Wars' Mark Hamill

At Chuck's Comic-Con panel on Saturday, co-creator Chris Fedak announced the show's first guest star for its final season: Star Wars legend Mark Hamill, who played Jedi-in-training Luke Skywalker. Later, Fedak spilled a few more details to reporters.

"It's a villain part. He will have a French accent," he says. "I was on the phone with him and he was doing the French accent."

Hamill fits into the geeky spy comedy series well. Not only did he star in one of the most popular sci-fi franchises of all time, but he's loaned his voice to a number of animated Batman projects in which he plays smiling villain, The Joker.

"It's our first episode back," reveals Fedak. "There are a couple of villains in it. Mark is the first one we were able to cast, and we're just excited to have him on the show. I think he fits so much into our world. He's a really fun actor and he'll just chew up the scenes. ... That's what we love and what we did with Linda [Hamilton] and Timothy [Dalton] last year. I love building out our world with such a colorful array of actors."

Series stars Zachary Levi and Joshua Gomez were also thrilled to hear the casting news because "you can geek all over them" on set. Check out this video of Levi and Gomez's fanboy tribute to Hamill:

The fifth and final season of Chuck will premiere on Friday, Oct. 21 at 8/7c on NBC.
