Christopher Evan Welch

Rubicon alum Christopher Evan Welch died on Monday, Deadline.com reports. He was believed to be 48.  

Welch, who was filming on Mike Judge's new HBO comedy Silicon Valley, died in a Los Angeles-area hospital after suddenly falling ill.

Welch was a series regular on AMC's short-lived series Rubicon, and had smaller roles on Law & Order, The Sopranos, and The Good Wife. His film credits include War of the Worlds, Lincoln and The Master, as well as narrating Vicky Cristina Barcelona. He was also well-known for his stage presence, appearing on Broadway in revivals of London Assurance and The Crucible.
