Christine Lahti is scrubbing in again at CBS.
The Chicago Hope alum will once again play a doctor in CBS' medical-family drama pilot imaginatively titled The Doctor, Deadline reports.
SVU ain't Messing around
The project focuses on a mother (Lahti) who joins the family medical practice and must learn to reconnect with her adult children. The pilot was written by Privileged creator Rina Mimoun and directed by David Nutter.
In 1998, Lahti won an Emmy for her role as Dr. Kathryn Austin in Chicago Hope. On Wednesday night's Law & Order: SVU, her character ADA Sonya Paxton was murdered.
