Aguilera and Rutler were arrested in West Hollywood, Calif., near a club after authorities pulled over a car in which the singer was a passenger. The driver, Rutler, was booked on a misdemeanor charge suspicion of driving under the influence.
Aguilera was taken into custody because she appeared to be extremely intoxicated and unable to look after her own welfare, Sheriff's Deputy Bill McSweeney said.
She was booked on a misdemeanor charge and was being released on $250 bail. Rutler's bail was set at $30,000.
