Colfer, 20, wrote the script for and will star in the film, which will be shot during Glee's hiatus next summer. Youth in Revolt's David Permut, who is currently looking for a director for the project, said the script is reminiscent of the work of late writer-director John Hughes (The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles).

Colfer's manager Glenn Rigberg (You Don't Know Jack) will executive produce and Steve Longi (Prayers for Bobby) will co-produce.

Are you excited to see Colfer on the big screen?
