Chris Brown will appear on Larry King Live next week in his first interview since his February arrest for assaulting Rihanna, Entertainment Tonight reports.
The singer taped the interview Wednesday with his mother, Joyce Hawkins, and his attorney, Mark Geragos, in attendance. Hawkins got emotional during the interview, a source told ET.

The sit-down will air Sept. 2. TVGuide.com's calls to CNN were not immediately returned.
Brown, 20, was sentenced Tuesday to five years of probation and six months of community labor for the February incident. He must also complete a year-long domestic violence program, and cannot contact or come within 100 yards of Rihanna for the next five years.
