Just when you thought he was out, Glee may pull Chord Overstreet back in.
The actor, who left the series over the summer, is in final talks to return as Sam on a recurring basis, TVLine reports.

According to the site, the deal is expected to close soon and will find Sam returning in the season's eighth episode, which is scheduled to air in early December. In the season premiere, Sam's absence was explained as him moving out of the state with his family. It's unclear how he will be written back in.
Overstreet declined a recurring contract with the show in the summer after producers opted not to pick up his series regular option. He has since focused on music and guest-starred on The Middle.
Fox declined to comment.
